Hey Daniel, we sure did get some: 1.32" last night along with quite a bit of thunder. Sorry for the delayed report; I had all my electronics unplugged for safety. There is still a lot of "turbulent blobbiness" out there this morning, mostly offshore but not too far from us: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html This activity might be related to Invest 92E which is slowly trying to get organized well down the coast from us, although I think it's not close enough to take full blame/credit: http://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/east-pacific/2013/invest-92E?map=model Invest 92E only has a 10% chance of developing into a named storm in the next 2 days, and a 30% chance in the next 5 days, as it initially travels up the coast fairly close to shore. There's not much danger of it having a name before it turnes out to the west in a couple days. But even without a name it can still bring us some rain in the next few days, as seen in the forecast posted by Erin (thanks!) PS, thanks for posting this link last night, but yours had an extra "http://" at the beginning so it didn't work without editing. That's a gotcha to watch out for when posting links on this message board. |
