Neal and Michel. Neal, I think it might be different if you are "shipping" the
bike, compared to taking it along as part of your baggage.

It's why I never complain
about the charges for primary or extra baggage when I go down there. $20 or $25/item
(or $50 for oversize or overweight) is a bargain, compared to "shipping" it
by UPS for a few hundred dollars; AND in the first case your stuff arrives
with you - you don't have to make an extra trip to Manzanillo and deal with
customs there (where sometimes your boxes have been opened and the contents
damaged, too)

So Neal, could you check with that airline again, and see if they are quoting
that price as an extra shipping charge, or as part of your baggage - will
be interesting to see. Thanks!
