We had light to moderate rain all night long, no thunder this time: 0.88" before midnight and 0.84" since then for 1.72" in the last 24 hours. 3.04" in the last 2 days. September is up to 14.4" now. We have had a large "zone of instability" covering much of the southwest Mexican Pacific coast the last couple days. This zone is centered on Invest 92E which is due south of us right now, and turning to the west and leaving the coast today and tomorrow. It only has a 30% chance of becoming a named storm in the next 5 days. http://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/eastern-pacific/2013/Invest-92E?map=model Our chance for more rain looks fairly low. The Weather Underground gives Manzanillo a 20% chance today and tomorrow, and the GOES satellite loop shows fairly rapid clearing right now: http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html |
