Exactly what I'm looking for!! Katie Hunter is bringing me a puppy size one (thanks Katie!!) but would also like a large one for later on when he is an adult. What this is exactly is 1. A chew toy, & 2. A mind stimulater for the dog--he has to "think" & work on how to get the treats out. Even dogs need to have some mental stimulation to keep them from getting bored, cuz when they're bored they will find all kinds of activities on their own--re: eating the couch etc. And Daniel, thank you for the link on the jerky treats!! Will definately make my own, then I'll know what is in them. I have always been leery of "commercial" pet foods because I remember when the dog food company agents would come to my parents farm and buy the "rotten" vegetables (that we used for compost)for processing into their so called healthy product. From there, they went to the neighbours' pig farm and buy the carcesses. And guess what-no health inspector was ever with them!! So my pets have always been "Home Fed" ever since.
