The same thing was tried with us and with Cleve & Susan across the street on Sunday evening (just before the play) - again, almost identical to Daniel's attempted scam. He talked with both of us, saying "guess who this is" and "don't you remember me?" and "remember I said I'd come back down and buy property in La Manz" but would NOT give us his name ~ we had to "guess". He said he was calling from Vancouver and so I gave him our Vonage number so he'd get a cheaper phone rate. We both knew we did not know the guy. He called back on our Mexican line saying that the canadian number didn't work but that he'd call the next day to let us know how his flight connections were working out. When he called he next day I told him flat out that I didn't believe him - he tried to argue - and I hung up on him. Beware -
