Same here; back in June we got our new car (purchased in Manzanillo, Colima) registered in La Huerta. I think all you need to bring is the Factura (bill of sale) and your ID. Maybe proof of address in the Municipio de la Huerta (electric bill or phone bill)? I don't remember.

The office in La Huerta is right near the NW corner of the main square.

Our sales agent from the Nissan dealership was a big help. He drove the car to meet us in Melaque and went with us to La Huerta to assist in the registration. This way the car had the dealer plates still on it until we got the Jalisco plates in La Huerta.
