Yoga with a Twist

Greetings interested yoginis and yogis,
I'll be teaching classes, starting this Thursday, January 9, and will
follow with regular Monday and Thursday classes, 9:30-11:00 thereafter.
Location: next to the bookstore, across from the fish market (that might be interesting) on Calle Maria Ascuncion, the place with the beautiful greens doors.
The twist is that I'll be working with people who want to do yoga yet have special requirements because of injury or (dare I say it?) age related limitations.
My story: Following shoulder surgery 10 years ago, I became a student of what we call Special Needs Yoga in Victoria. Three months after coming out from under the knife, my surgeon was greatly surprised at the range of motion I'd recovered in that shoulder. Thank you to my SNY teachers. It transpired that I became a volunteer in that class and then part of the teaching team. I tell my story to encourage the reluctant to come out and give this a try.
Classes will be small so I can offer individual attention, and I will be using the props reflective of my Iyengar background in order to accommodate and support your special needs.
I am asking a $100 donation which, once the rent has been paid, will be divided between the ambulance fund and education in La Manzanilla.
Questions? Please email me at johope@shaw.ca.
Namaste.
