Hi Pam, Marta blew her knee out at during my Zumba class NOT during the Zumbathon. She's been working hard to get in shape and loss weight and unfortunately her body betrayed her. Marta told me she was feeling great during my class, getting into the grove, and wham, she did a step or twist and out went her knee. People get injured during exercise. I don't think it's fair blaming the Zumbathon fundraiser. I have years of dance training and teaching experience but I still can't guarantee no one will get injured doing a mid to high-impact, high cardio exercise. Just my .02
