Gringo Day is close at hand - not many sleeps left! It takes place on Friday Feb 7 with a birria luncheon at 2 pm in the Casino which is followed by lots of activities and dancing at the Rodeo grounds until dusk. All expats will need a ticket to participate in the luncheon (volunteers do, too) and that ticket gets you into the rodeo grounds as well. Plus, do not forget the Farola after 8 pm on the evening before, Thurs Feb 6 - lots of ponche and dancing in the streets behind the Banda. You can buy your ticket at the book store or Palapa Joe's or from Alison Rimmer for $150p. The bookstore is open from 10 am - 1 pm each day and from 6 pm - 8 pm Mon to Thurs. There are still a few teeshirts (150p) available at the b/s and at Palapa Joe's, too, though the sizes and colours are now limited. The Women's Small tees are really small, so if you have a young girl in the family - it would be the perfect souvenir for her! |
