Meet "Eduardo Morales Ochoa", of La Manzanilla, who was born without a femur bone in his right leg.

Eduardo is now 18 months old. He has a 4 year old sister and his mother is expecting her third child in a few weeks.

His family needs to take him to Mexico City to the "Shriners Hospital for Children" for diagnosis and fitting a prosthesis on his leg.

Afterwards, his family must travel to Guadalajara so Eduardo can receive physical therapy three times a year and learn to walk, ride a bike and climb stairs with his prosthesis.

Eduardo's family needs your help to take him to Mexico City and then to Guadalajera for medical treatments. According to the other family, whose child has the same birth defect, it costs roughly $18,000 pesos every year.(Coincidentally, another La Manzanilla baby was born with the exact same problem - the 2 families lived on the same street, only 3 houses apart!)

Your donations are greatly appreciated!
Eduardo will be in the tiengas tomorrow and would love to thank you in person!

Donations are accepted at Caja Solidaria, La Manzanilla, Account: 11743, Eduardo Morales Ochoa. Receipts available upon request.

Also, the family is currently staying with friends while looking for a home - please let me know if you are aware of a "free rent in exchange for care-taking" situation or of anything that might help. Please phone me 351-5177 or email the while envelope at the top of this posting.
