2014 Baseball Classic--Olde Phartes vs La Manzanilla Youth Team

While some of the world is focused on Sochi, you know some freezing cold place in Russia, the REAL SPORTS EVENT of the year will be happening right here in warm, sunny La Manzanilla. Yes folks, it is time again for our Baseball Winter Classic. The Olde Phartes will once again be challenged by the La Manzanilla Youth, this Saturday, Feb. 15, game begins at 3 pm. at the soccer field just across the Arroyo. Along with some great baseball being played, there will also be a 50-50 raffle, and a bottle of Tequila raffle. Admittance is by donation at the door. All proceeds going to La Manzanilla Beisbol league. For all "Olde Phartes", male or female, wanting to play, there is a "sign up" sheet at Palapa Joe's So mark the date on your calenders, and come out to this fun filled event. Bring a chair, as seating is very very limited,some bug spray, a cold drink or two, and get set to cheer YOUR FAVOURITE team to VICTORY. Remember, you can sit on the beach any old afternoon, but THIS IS A ONCE A YEAR EVENT,that you really don't want to miss.
