Thank you for showing your film "The Horses of McBride", Anne. It's a treat to be able to intereact with a film-maker directly about their work. Haven't been to many movies where everyone hoots and hollers spontaneously at the end! The writing was believable and the dialogue natural. The direction seemed unobtrusive - the acting was restrained and yet provoked emotion. And the beauty of Northern B.C. shone through in the cinamatography. I came away with the feeling that it's often the smallest of things that create a sense of place, and a sense of community. Like the lost horses in the movie that aren't noticed at first - the small things can become very powerful when people finally realize what's right in front of them.
