SINGALONG CONCERT #2, WED FEB 26 Will & Ann invite you to sing along with us or just sit back and listen at “The Club” on Wed, Feb 26 at 7:30 PM. It’s a Singalong (but not an instrumental jam), so we’ll perform a little and then teach those who want to sing how to join in. Full bar and soft drinks. “The Club” is about a block past (north of) Palapa Joe’s, same side of the street, UPSTAIRS. It’s FREE. WE NEED TWO THINGS on Feb 26: 1. A bunch of long brown Poinciana (Tabachin) beans, about two feet long and flat, that hang from trees around town, if they still have a good rattle sound. Can anyone bring some? 2. We’d like some interested folks to come a half hour early so Ann can teach you a fun cup tapping & passing game to accompany one of the songs. Can any of you come at 7:00? Will founded the “Get American Singing Again” national campaign, and taught a course in American Folk and Popular Music at the U of Wis-Milwaukee. Ann founded and directed the Stringalong Weekends for 30 years — nationally-attended amateur music and singing festival retreats. The Schmids have been performing together (with guitar & autoharp) and leading choirs & amateur singing groups for almost 40 years.
