Dear friends helping Angelica, First off, the meeting with DIF didn't happen. The 11:00 am meeting was for people from Los Hingenios. There was a later meeting at 2:00pm for La Manzanilla. Unfortunately, we had already committed to going to Melaque. We were told that Angelica could sign up for the DIF "Opportunidadis" program with Marie, the nurse at the centro de salud. As they were closed on Friday, we shall do that with her on Monday. Through Angelica's diligent efforts, she raised some money for her immediate needs through selling raffle tickets for her watch. She was able to pay for her ulta sound and the baby is healthy and well positioned and the due date is March 10. She has enough money left to buy 2 weeks supply of food for herself and children, including diapers, toiletries, etc. She is going to start looking for a home to rent for a couple of months. She thinks that she can find one for between $500 - $700 Pesos per month. As soon as she has a casa, then her things can be brought down from the ranchero in Cuatitlan as well as her papers that would allow Eduardo into daycare and Cheli into kindergarten. We will also have a much better idea of what she needs for the new baby. Perhaps we could have a baby shower? I don't have any fundraising ideas to get the rent paid - any suggestions and/or donations would be most appreciated. Thank you one and all, Myranda
