Actually I live on Vancouver Island, the land of snow at the moment. I was actually inquiring about customs and immigration info at Sonoyta as I fumbled badly there on the way down. I stayed in my trailer all the time, usually at a Pemex station while enroute in Mexico. I felt safer driving the libres and more able to take in the sights and people but there are just as many roadside crosses on any road it seems.. When I go again I'll use different tactics and get well-clear of the border and our gringo influence before starting to smell the flowers although.....Guzman was just busted in Mazatlan....so???? In Lm I stayed at Carmen's campground, where the tree is in the middle of the road , a km past the cocdrillerio. Loved it! Watch out for scorpions in the banos at night. I know this isn't much help, my blog seafirechronicles.com has a little info and pics. Mucho gusto, fred |
