I did the same trip, Guad to Tuxtla, then San Cristobel, Agua Azul and Palenque. From there you can take a few buses that take you to a river. It's a 5 hour ride on a launcha which drops you at Naranjo. From there in the middle of the night a bus will take you to Flores. It's a great way to see the river life and go into Guatemala the back way. Marcia
