There is an optical store right near the bank in Melaque. I had glasses done there two years ago. There was an eye test. Mine were progressives (multifocal) and transitional ( darken in the sun), and 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost in Canada. Not as good quality as Canada, but okay! Not very much choice then. But I wore them almost one year.
