Warning!! Just a few minutes ago(8PM) we caught an older Mexican women in our bedroom loading up things from our closet. We were watching television about 5 feet away. I saw her out of the corner of my eye. We confronted her and she would not release the things that she was hauling off which included some things from our kitchen and living room. After relieving her our our belongings Betty escorted her to the door and as she left she grabbed Betty's coin purse which was on a string around her neck, tore it off and fled to the beach. She is very short( about 4' 4" wearing traditional Mexican clothes and an engineers cap. I have never seen her before and living on the beach I know most of the beach vendors. She was not one of them. She had a key attached to a ring on her finger and said it was the key to her casa. She seamed a little crazy. She kept claiming that she was from Michoacan to explain what she was doing. She was absolutely fearless. She did not want to leave, she wanted to keep loading things in here black garbage bag. We keep our front door open until 8:00 PM to accommodate our guest( no more). All and all it was a very bazaar experience. On reflection I feel like she some how heard about the rich gringos in La Manzanilla and felt that she could just walk in and take what she wanted with no repercussions what so ever and that once she had things in her possession they were hers and was willing to fight to keep them. Be warned that she is not afraid of you and ripping off Betty's coin purse indicates that she is not afraid of a little violence either.
We called every number we could find for the Police and the Deligato. We finally got some one on 066. He took down the information with no further comment and we have yet to hear from anybody.
