Mi amigo, Don Concho, had a befitting burial with Mariachi music and the town out to say adios. Even a lone crocodile appeared to watch the somber procession. My friend Rita, who often tells me the town's history, said that Don Concho was a straight citizen and when he was Delegado, he did everything by the book. But at the same time was very careful not to offend anyone even when they asked him to do otherwise. He was tactful and non-judgmental winning much respect and an honored place in the community. I was not surprised to hear this as this is how I knew him. I cry now because the era of the gentelman, a person of his or her word and integrity, is hard to find, almost extinct some times. And when I do come across them I want to preserve them and keep them forever. Cruz
