esmitty, I'm not sure why you felt the need to make that comment. I think it's important for us to be informed. I think it's important for us to share information. I think it's important for us to be alerted, in this small community of snowbirds and ex-pats, to what's going on around us. I did not know these people, but I do know people in Ajijic who did. I know 'a' story, from them, and, as I understand it, this is not a random act, though it has nothing to do with the world of drugs. I've learned something from what I've heard. I've learned something that will inform my actions in this country and, probably, at home. When the drug cartels do dreadful things, we hear about it whether we want to or not, and that's not likely to touch most of our lives. When these, seemingly 'random' acts occur close to our homes either here or NOB, I think we need to know about them in order to govern our lives in a way that will keep us safe, to the best of our abilities, without turning us into fraidie cats or vigilantes. Information is just that: information. It provides us with materials, some of which may contribute to the framework upon which we construct our lives.
