I've driven the Baja Hwy 1 about 15 times in the past 6 years. There are a few sections that need some help but the drive is just beautiful. You travel from the Pacific side to Sea of Cortez a few times. The only part now closed is at K-58 between TJ and Ensenada. The road collapsed (200 yards of road) about 4 months ago due to heavy rains and a few small quakes. There's about a 3 hour detour that take you through the wine country. Old road but good. You'll love Baja
