another question about foreign plated cars

Yes, this has been discussed at length before on the board. However, there is a story going round that a new ruling/law is being instituted in May that may allow older foreign plated vehicles to not have to go through the importation experience at the border. Has anyone out there heard anything to this effect? There are still some of us who have not yet made the trip as our cars are older and either might not make it, or not worth the trip in terms of costs. So...please, if you know or have heard of this let me know. Thanks, Stephanie
