First of all Mike, with the ease of any simple software, you can word search my dissertation and you will find neither 'stupid' nor 'liar'. Look it up. For someone who I thought was of Celtic heritage, could be wrong, and extrapolating that supposition to perhaps infer that you would have availed yourself of the works of some of the great literary talents of our time (Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, George B. Shaw) you might have read/understood more the literary point of my post. That being that; We live in a fairly secure, peaceful, community that is tight knit, harmonious and tranquil. At least that is how I see/perceive it. When I read the original post, I did not immediately reach a conclusion that the person who posted it was stupid or a liar. I went right to the source for the other party in question in this whole event and since you have a little trouble figuring that out, it was not you, not your wife, not the mother, not any of the mother's children. You clear on who that might be at this point? So, I was able to, with the highest level of certainty, understand that this event was as many others have deduced, a misunderstanding and was nothing close to what was claimed on the original post. When I then re-examined the original post, I needed not delve beyond the headline, which seemed like a clarion call for each and every person in La Manzanilla, dogs and cats included to turn an ear to this post that warns us of baby trafficking. That is a HUGE claim. Digging into it more, I shook my head at the term "Mexican-America man". My head shaking was because I knew who this person was. See also my description of L.M. above. I, and nearly anyone else you wish to speak with (go ahead, try it) in this town knows who this individual is. If nothing else, he is not American. I'd be totally surprised if any of you did not know who he is as well. Perhaps I am holding you to a standard that evades you. Moving on. I shook my head at the use of the phrase, "He told her he would be back with his wife so she could look the baby over!" I was thinking again, hummmm, something is getting lost in translation (no pun intended) here. He has no wife. From there, as I read the rest of the original post, it then leads all of us on a wild string of speculation, conjecture and "over the top" histrionics. "It was happening . . . ", ". . .what purpose this man has in mind for Jade . . . ", ". . . is kidnapping his next move?". Go ahead, again look it up Mike. Here, in this place, our village, your village, this sort of blow hard conjecture and seemingly outright conviction that malfeasance was in the process of occurring, when it wasn't, was something that I was going to take a stand against. This was not the way to go about it. So I set out to say that given A, B, C, D, E . . . . I found it very odd for you folks to set us off this way, alarming us to this event that actually had not occurred in the manner that was portrayed, and have actually traumatized the other protagonist. You did. I then made it clear that given the inability to reach across language barriers, and all that I stated, it would be easy to show how this got run off the rails. In so many words, you yelled "Fire" in a crowded theatre. We demand protection from this sort of histrionics because it is harmful and shameful. You know full well that you should/could have availed yourself of protection from the police. You chose otherwise. You know full well that there are avenues that are better suited to a solution to the problem, as you saw it. You saw otherwise. My intent was to show you that the first thing to do is to NOT simply decide to "Ready, Fire, Aim". Now, just take a pill, lay down, relax, take a nap and please do not dream that I am going to make a public, private or any other type of apology for engaging in calm, sane, logical dialogue in a public forum. No insult was put forth, you know that and if you don't believe that, you are again, not getting the point. Pistols? Mike, really. Darkness can't be overcome by more or darker darkness, only with light. Let's all stand in the cleansing light of the truth here and you have a nice summer in Canada. |
