One of the most charming things about Mexico, for a gringo like me, is the laid back , lack of rules and regulations. Here in Canada , we need a permit and safety regulations and another fee and another permit to do just about anything. Take fireworks for example. As I consider myself a guest when I spend my winters in La Manzanilla, it's not up to me and petitions and rallies can be a pain. But it's sad to see some of that lovely Mexican charm get pushed aside. Good luck to the vendors. And the ones on the beach!!
