The cops have been burning along the sides of the road to the beach - most of the 100 bougainvilleas that we bought, planted, watered and enjoyed looking at, have been burnt to a crisp. Hopefully the roots are strong enough that some will return with the rains. Also heavy burning in what used to be the old airstrip, the back road from El Rebalsito to where the first police hang out. Maybe that's what you're seeing. |
