possible identity theft

I mailed some tax forms to the US via Estafeta in Cihuatlan on Friday morning
using the 3 day service to the IRS in Texas. Using the tracking number the package
made it to Manzanillo but has yet to make it to Mexico City.
I am concerned that someone may try to steal my identity from the information
on those documents and am wondering if anyone has any experience in this area.

By the way, Estafeta is a joke. They didn't have mailing envelopes, I had to
go to the stationary store next to the office and buy one. They did not give me
an official receipt for the $550 pesos charge, the mailing label was hand written,
and the girl working there couldn't stop texting long enough to serve me uninterrupted.
Never again will I use that service.

Any assistance appreciated.
