The center of Simon is almost 300 miles to our west and getting farther, but it had a long enough reach to disturb some of the squelching wet cloudiness around us into falling out as rain. Overnight we got 2.08"/53mm. Total so far from Simon is 2.56"/65mm.

We probably still have a chance for more today and maybe tonight, but I still don't see much chance of major rains for us. Maybe another inch??

For anyone flying in or out of ZLO on Saturday, as far as I can tell the airport should still be open. There's no news about flooding of the Marabasco River by Cihuatlan, which can cut the airport access road (or wash out the bridge ramps as happened during Hurricane Jova in 2011.) Also, the ZLO flight delay site shows no problems right now at least: http://www.manzanillotoday.com/services/manzanillo-playa-de-oro-international-airport-zlo-arrivals-delays/
