'm here in Florida, right now for a week. This time coupled with the rest of the summer in Colorado (so, not a bad cross cut of America), regular unleaded gasoline (+/- equivalent to Magna - Green at Pemex) is down about 70 cents a gallon in the past month. That is about 2.3 Pesos / liter (NOT centavos, Pesos) based upon 1 USD = 12.4 MP.

I know, I know, you'd see a monkey fly out of my butt if the Pemex price dropped 1 centavo a liter in this same time frame. At least that is my supposition.

I realize that there are tons of mitigating circumstances between how it works in Mexico and how it works in the USA, starting with the false notion foisted upon all of us that "Free Market" forces are why things work the way they work.

So why do they call it OPEC cartel then if it is free market? Which brings up another word that is common in Mexico . . . . .

I'll just leave it at that. Just wondering if anyone was seeing lower pump prices at PEMEX.
