Community! The good people of La Manzanilla! Get rid of the thieves! You know who they are. I live on a small island in the PNW. Pop. 2300. We had a couple show up last fall (the suitcase people). They had robbed and stolen cars up the I-5 corridor before arriving in our little hamlet and wreaking havoc. They ended up in jail by the winter time and by early spring, after their release, the citizens of the island forced them out by social media, and posters of the thieves at prominent local spots. They quickly disappeared into the ethers. The La Manzanilla townspeople WILL loose a lot in tourista revenue if gringos stop coming because of robberies.  |
