I've seen quinoa in Lidia's grocery (spelled kinoa) next to the brown rice, neither is always available but she does work to make us happy. Almonds and pecans are frequently available, sometimes shelled pistachios, and a variety of seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, and sesame are the easiest to find). I've seen walnuts in Melaque but hesitate to buy them because of how easily walnuts go rancid in this heat. Let me know if you've had a good experience, will you?
I'm told one can buy plain yogurt in quart containers, but have not done so myself as I'm vegan.

Linda Mandala sells coconut oil in most of the stores and at the weekly market. It's slightly cheaper to buy straight from her. Of course you can ask any questions you might have about the oil - and perhaps develop more resources for better food-buying.

There's also a deli next to the tortilleria that's open short hours and has interesting things like fresh tofu and spices, but I haven't been in this year. Much of it isn't in my diet so I don't go often.

I'm not paid by anyone, just a foodie that likes to share info.

Good luck!
