Yes, we all long for the days before progress came to la Manz, but the day we choose when la Manz got too big is usually the day after we moved here. Progress is going to happen and if you are an ex-pat that lives here, some of that progress and change is because of you. Similar lamenting happened in the 1980's & early 1990's when ex-pats started to build in the Campo, in the early 2000's when the lagoon road was paved and those lots sold off, and just a few years ago when the main streets were paved. Yet life goes on and usually for the better. A new cash machine will help some and maybe have some issues, but trying to stop progress because it might change the character of the area is just pretending that we all didn't cause the same feeling at sometime in the past when we moved here and built our houses. A new ATM is a very minor change in the community compared to what all of us ex-pats have done with our building projects.
