While it is a worthwhile topic to discuss the pros and cons of an ATM machine from a cultural effect standpoint I think there is a practical side that may need more consideration. With all the problems getting cash at Banamex it would seem someone would have come up with an alternative machine in Melaque. But they haven't and I think the reason may be security, i.e. Banamex is the only one who can sufficiently provide it. About 10 20 years ago there was no Banamex in La Huerta as every time they put a bank there it got robbed, despite being in such close proximation to the police station. Not talking about a bank machine, just a bank. There must be a good reason that someone has not stepped up to fill the void for a reliable / working bank machine in Melaque and Barra and I think that reason would apply in spades to La Manz.
