Hola. We met with the Delegado, Fermin, on Tuesday to get a low down on Police/security here in LM. Fermin has been assured by La Huerta that we will have continuing Police and police car presence here in LM. The police crew is rotated every ten days and each crew has a different telephone number. So, for ease, when people need the police, please call Fermin's number and he will contact the police for you. 315-107-9811 from a home phone. Begin number with 044 if calling from a cell phone. Or you can call the emergency number for Francisco and the ambulance service: 315-112-4048 (same instructions as when dialing the first number )This number is on your handy refrigerator magnet and can be used for any type of emergency. Since one of the weak spots here is that locals are afraid of informing, we will start a campaign for people to use the 'anonymous informant' system. Hopefully this could work as a deterrent if would- be burglars know that neighbors might see and tell on them. Cruz
