When would you ideally like to have these scissors by, Dave? I'm happy to pack one in our suitcase when we come down the first week of February, but would that be too late? If it's not, then you can add my name to your list for one.

Hmmm... wait a minute, here... Maybe I'll just put it on mom and dad's "xmas stocking stuffer list" this year - kids always want one from us... hmmm... so with 4 kids (all adults!) and if I ask them all for one, net outlay of funds becomes zero... hmmm... change my order to 4, Dave! Santa's coming early this year (well, late actually) jejeje

I'll be looking here with breathless anticipation for your next update on the "trimming scissors count". Such fun...

Concerning bringing seeds into Mexico, they do seem to be on the list of items regulated from import (no surprise as they are for most countries). I would strongly suggest that all refrain from even thinking of importing seeds of any kind (except maybe dill and other packaged spices/seeds which are allowed by what it says on the attached). As a trained biologist, who at one time worked with insects in biological control, I understand fully that the implications could be dire if certain unwanted insects/pathogens/diseases were inadvertently hitching a ride on any of these seeds you bring with you and manage to sneak in. Chances are slim, I know, and I think a lot of vegetable seeds might even be treated, not sure on that, though. Still, these rules are not to be trifled with lightly. Even if you were to get caught and only have your "wrists slapped", as I think happens with many unknowing travellers, it's not at all a wise practice. Better to donate to the seed fund as Dave suggests.

Jeez, I hope the seeds that the kids from Lopez Island sent DO get through customs...
