Here in Vancouver, we have a lot of Filipino people, so moringa leaves
and pods are brought in from the Philippines once a week. It is quite
expensive here. This summer, I bought some and dried the leaves, then
crumbled them into a blender with a mason jar replacing the blender
container and made powder that I add to soup, etc. - an easy way to get your greens.

Since it is still a fair bit of work to grow and process it, I would be
a customer for the powder (or the fresh leaves and pods) if anyone wanted
to make a cottage industry out of this, in La Manzanilla.

Davison, could moringa be grown in the school's garden? I think Mary Jo has
found it grows easily without too much watering, etc., and...
it's perennial! All you have to do is keep cutting the tops off.

I got too busy to buy and dry the leaves, and found I could buy moringa powder
here for $20.00 CAD/7 ounces. www.organictraditions.com. Would love to spend that money in La Manzanilla
this winter!
