You might want to check with your credit card company because some members are automatically covered for a 2 wk period as long as you decline the car companies insurance. If you are flying into Manzanillo you should check with the rental co. at the airport or in Manzanillo. Some airports do have cheaper rates. Also check with your insurance company about driving a rental and sometimes they offer extra coverage. If it is your own car you definitely need Mx. Insurance. I do not know about the Cash payment because most rentals want you to use a credit card in case you do not bring the car back.
