sweet and sad little dog needs help

A small black and white dog was apparently dropped in our neighborhood a few days ago. She is very sweet, terribly thin and seems quite sad. Linda Mandala and I are going to get her to the vet tomorrow and a few of us are feeding her. But she needs someone to take her on - a home and an owner. Please help this little creature.
