| Wow, I did not know there was a real live doctorate in animal husbandry with specialty on sheep/goats here in LM. I was thinking that as a native of, and graduate of the University of Wyoming, and growing up on a 14,000+ acre ranch outside of Laramie that I'd heard it all when the topic of sheep was brought up. By gosh, I'm going to have to tune in more regular to this here MB every afternoon to get more exposure to this wide cross current of Mark's ovine musings on the efficacy of grass foraging of goats with respect to browsing (sustainable) vs. grazing and the intricacies of comparing the cow's dexterous tongue to the sheep's cleft lip. Riveting huh? |
