Cat to Canada!

I have been told and looked at the rules for Canada
and it seems that all I need to take my cat home is
a valid certificate of a rabies shot within the
last 36 months. It said nothing about a health
certificate.I am flying direct to Canada.
Does anyone know for sure about this?
Has anyone been asked for a health certificate
going to Canada for their Cat?
Would appreciate the information.
THANKS

I travel to/from Canada twice a year with 2 canines. A health certificate issued 5 days or less before your travel date is required. I am regularly stopped in Canada and in Mexico by doggie customs and they always check my paper work.
In order to have a health certificate completed by a veterinarian you must have all current inoculation records with you.
Cheers...

We were in La Manzanilla for 7 weeks this winter with our dog. Since our stay was over 30 days we had to go to the vet to get a health certificate for travel back home. We went to the local vet in La Manzanilla (Rocio) The paperwork is easy and it will insure a smooth trip. Do bring recent records of inoculations for rabies, etc. as the vet will need this.

We are going to bring our cat back to Canada as well. According to the customs web site, only a rabies shot is required:
