Horse - Gypsy? - and the midway rides

Is there something that can be done or someone that can be spoken to about the poor horse who has lost its paddock to the midway rides?

Bad enough it is locked up into a little area but one of the rides almost runs into the horse's enclosure. Gypsy seemed very scared every time the cars came screaming towards her. All the loud noises and music are very disturbing to her.

Surely we can arrange to have her tied up elsewhere away from all this chaos?

Suggestions or offer of a field?

Just for the record: her's a him. I'm sure this big, studly boy would like to have his masculinity recognized.
AND I'm sure he'd like a little more space and some peace and quiet. He's in a dreadful situation right now.
Good on you, Linda, for seeking a remedy to his dilemma. I do hope someone comes up with a solution.

We have a secure lot in Boca that the horse would love with lots of grass. Water would be an issue but I bet Peggy would help make sure he had some. Someone has put a lock on the gate which we would have to get off and the owner could put his own on. Need a big tub for water.

We have a troth out here, and I will be more than happy to keep it full of water, and assist with any of his other needs.

Not a great shot but on the right side of that fence is the caterpillar ride that barrels around on a track.

Peggy has the best solution next to her place. Someone just needs to bring him out if the owner agrees. Peggy will spoil him rotten.

I have called Paul. He may be out of town. I need to be sure it is OK with him.I could bring him up here but I would have to tie him to a tree to keep him from eating the plants. I hope to hear from Paul soon. Clare

Yes the animal is clearly uncomfortable, but is this an example of gringos deciding the fate of some one elses property, I only noticed one person that even mentioned the owner and that was a ways in to this viral conversation. Please to not educate me on animal rights, we all have our own views.

The owner called ClareLee who rides Gypsy all the time. He is in Guad but is thrilled that she is going to take the horse out to Boca in the next day or so. Just organising the feed and water situation. Peggy will take care of the feeding and watering until after Easter. Happy Easter for a lovely animal.

I understand your point, Terry. There was information that you didn't have. I feel better, too, knowing that the owner was in on these decisions, that the concerned people were familiar with the horse, and that this wasn't just a group of people making decisions for somebody else. That said, I'm so glad that the horse will be happy and safe.

Stallion is still there. It's not a good situation, and it would be best for everyone if he was moved asap. I am a horse person and can help out if asked.
Thanks to all that are working on this.

Being moved in the morning. Just took some time to get everything in place for the big boy. Clarelee riding him out. David taking feed and all being greeted by Peggy who has organized the water and the gates have been unlocked and ready to go. He will be very spoiled. Wanted him to be secure and being a stallion extra precautions were taken into consideration. All good.

Oh Judy, and everyone else who has been and will be involved this, I am so appreciative of everything that's gone into this 'rescue'. I know it's not simple, especially when Paul's not here.
This is another of those moments when the cohesive and supportive nature of this town makes me just beam!

I haven't visited LM for a long time, but I keep up with what is going on through the message board. You all and LM are always on my mind like a song from the radio. I seldom respond to anything said, but this thread made me cry. I am an animal person, especially a horse person and I used to take carrots to Gypsy every day. Thank you so much everyone. He is such a sweet animal and you are such good people.

Gypsy seemed pretty happy....pawing the ground, rolling..
Hope he isn't frightened with it being so dark.
There are goats, chickens, geese, a female horse. 3 deer, just across the road, they must be communicating with the city slicker...that everything is ....
