Activos - Gym - Workout

Finally went to join the gym. Workout was great. Experience would have been all I wanted it to be but the weight room was full of marijuana smoke which sort of lends a "what's the use" flavor to the whole experience. I was the only one 'working' out at the time and I don't partake. I wan't the only one 'loitering' but I'll leave it at that.

You could have said... I'm gonna blow this joint..
Can't stop myself..
Reminds me of the subject, many many moons ago about the fly in the soup.

Seriously folks, that is not good for the reputation of the gym. George and I really enjoyed being members there for almost 6 months. We came back stronger than when we left Canada. I think management has changed. Gabi is now in charge. Can someone talk to her about this?

Here we go.....The stuff is a gift from the earth, it grows there! Three states including your own voted for it. The revenue will put a flower pot in front of every post office in the state of Colorado or something like that. It's a natural pain killer, with no side effects! Ask a cancer patient, or someone with Lyme's Disease. Use the tincture as a Mosquito repellant, etc.
Stand up at Palapa Joe's/Open Mike and get a song out of yourself, with just one puff! I think it deserves respect.....

I think thats so silly I would be more concerned with the bad smell coming from the crocodile pit..I am the MMA instructor in activos and can say that there is no marihuana smoking going on in the gym maybe outside or near but not inside.Im also a marihuana user and have had no problems working out prior or post.I certainly dont advertise it,I think everyone has the right to do what they want as long as youre not hurting anyone.

Wake up people this is 2014. Linny is correct
Stop listening to the garbage they have been feeding us for all these years. Look at the facts.
If you really are concerned about your health, read this and what the videos.

Perhaps those who smoke should go outside and light up, as this is supposed to be a "health club". I am all for pot smoking, can't wait til it is legalized all over U.S., and Canada, more taxes more money for someone, not me tho...
Guess you gotta be here to see the real scenario..

If the loitering crocodiles smoked, you could smell it from the gym!
Now that we are at the gym, how about no blame and moving on to, "Get a membership at the gym to make it self sufficient"; so that the state officials can't use it as a political football and it won't be shut down at their whim! I am going to renew my membership on Monday. Truly, Thank you Rick, for joining the gym! I hope that any La Manzanillians who need a perk-up, will do the same...........

Hola. I just returned from a short trip to find Activos on 'The Board' but not for a good reason. Well, not exactly for a bad reason, either, depending on your point of view. However, since we want to serve the community of LM, it is not a practice Activos wants to be associated with.

As soon as we work out the kinks, Activos will have a new, energetic manager, Gabriela Martinez, on board. For now the onus is on me and I plan to get to the bottom of the source and/or direction of the smoke, whichever it turns out to be.

On a more positive note, we at Activos want to thank all the supporters and participants of Activos that help keep our project open and available to LM. It is our hope that Activos becomes more and more of a healthy alternative in our pueblo and that we can make it accessible to more people, especially our youth. And more important that the message of movement and exercise as a life style becomes part of daily living and just as important as eating and sleeping. And as our friend Rusty would say, "Don't be round, take a walk".

In another entry or episode, if you will, I will inform you of Activos's next activity and the outcome of scholarships provided by the Zumbathon fundraiser and the Rees family.

Hasta luego, Cruz
