Poor Rojo's New Home

As a friend and neighbor, I have been checking the new house built by Rojo (Red, Randy)and his charming wife, Cathy.

It seems like all of the copper has been removed from the home as well as the air conditioning unit. Two meters have been added to the pared between he and his southern neighbor.

The rumor going around the neighbor hood is that Rojo left in the middle of the night without saying goodbye nor reciprocating for three cervezas and two tequila shots provided by one of his supposed friends.

Que lastima!

Certainly not the best news I've heard this week, but then not the worst either. Thanks for watching our place Mark, your diligence is appreciated.

I had hoped that the good Karma of employing local crews, buying from local suppliers, and using a local builder would be returned in kind by the community with safety for our home while we are NOB for the Summer. So much for that Fairy Tale!

Things can be replaced, however, impressions last forever. Not the kind of welcome I had wished for, to say the least. Rojo

Its a joke Red, I wrote to Mark asking about it and he told me. I told him a smiley
would have made it better.

Red:

I thought you would immediately know by the sick sense of humor possessed by the poster that the post was, indeed, all in fun.

Sorry if I caused you distress. Your house is fine.

Baazingaaa. . . Todays communications give friends whole new ways to ring your bell, yank your chain if you will.

Had me going for sure. Now you just have to figure out how to deal with that cute blond I hang out with, Kathy C. Not quite the priority of Kathy B, but you will hear from her.

See you all soon. Rojo

might steal the copper..I was believing the

John
Because Mark is a good friend and watched the progress as we built this last season, he knew exactly where my fears lived.

During construction we delayed for a week or more pulling wires, waiting for the building to be lockable first. The fear was there for sure that the copper would disappear. You could say that I painted the target on my own chest.

Now I just have to figure out how to fill Mark's plastic kayak with rocks without leaving any evidence, Hmmm-mmmm, maybe concrete would be mas facil? Rojo

We watched the house every day being built from clearing the lot to a sweet and lovely space. I shook my head in disbelieve at the news of theft....no way, something is wrong here! ...and guess what - ?? Ain't life grand?....you turkey you!!!

Now, Rojo, you're just being vindictive because you fell for a joke. But, just in case, I have buried my kayak so you can't find it.

Peace out, my Idaho friend.

Red's response is excellent -- and even more poignant in light of the fact that there was no crisis!

I hope other people read the rest of the post or they just might get the idea that this really did happen.
Not really a friendly post!

Kim,

I disagree. Rojo and Kathy are my friends whom know that I have a strange sense of humor. Rojo should have realized the joke in my original post when I mentioned the extension of the wall between he and his neighbor.

I've already replied to Red that I'm sorry if he took the original post to heart, but at the end of the day, he should have seen through it. I can't help it if he lives his summers in Idaho. (There are some strange people in that neck of the woods).

As Red and Kathy are our friends, the post, by definition, was a "friendly post."
