I just noticed that this system is developing not too far off the coast of Guerrero state, and is forecast to strengthen and move toward the northwest (roughly parallel to the coast.) Maybe more rains a-coming...

Excerpt: " A broad low pressure area located a couple hundred miles south-southwest of Acapulco, Mexico, is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions
are conducive for gradual development, and a ropical depression will likely form during the next few days while the low moves northwestward at 5 to 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent."

That was a nice 1/2 inch of rain we received last night according to my rain gauge. We're almost up to 2 inches of rain already for the season an it's not even the 15th of June yet

Looks like the computer models have focused together more and are keeping this system more offshore, along the usual storm track. Rain for La Manz? Possibly some from this one, more likely just the usual land-generated thunderstorms.

Excerpt from NHC:
"A low pressure system located about 150 miles south-southwest of Zihuatanejo, Mexico, is showing signs of organization this morning. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development, and this system will likely become a tropical depression during the next day or two while it moves generally west-northwestward at 5 to 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...60 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent."
