I have heard that Home Depot in ZLO sells the far reaching spray. Is it sold anywhere locally? Thank you in advance. Arleen

I have heard, my friends have tried it, that if you open, just open, a jar of "stuffed olives", wasps seem to disappear from the vicinity of your food.
I have not had an opportunity to verify but my friends are quite reliable and neither drink nor "smoke, nor snort".
I hope it works for you.

When is the last time you ever trusted someone who didn`t drink, smoke or snort when telling a stuffed olive joke .

Seriously guys, I was stung about a dozen times, while pruning, last week Tuesday. My right hand and arm are still not totally functional. And now,
they are building outside our upstairs bedroom. I
am not anti-wasp (except maybe the human kind) I
simply do not want to get stung again.

Seriously, Arleen. I have heard about the olives and neither I nor the people who told me that were HIGH.
Try it, it's an environmentally friendly possibility. You possibly have a jar of olives in your "larder".

Arleen, I was stung by a wasp two years ago on the bridge of my nose, just under my glasses. I had read on Peoples Pharmacy about putting a piece of freshly cut onion on the sting. It stopped the pain almost instantly, but I smelled onions for two days. Onions and olives...who knew?

Oh Shane, you made me laugh. . . BUT I just want to know what the olives need to have for a stuffing . . . could it be . . . garlic????? Works for werewolves, I understand.
Seriously, though, Arlene, I do hope you're okay. That's a whole lot of stings for one little person.

Arleen,
I hope that after all that you have been able to find relief and a solution to your wasp problem. I'm surprised at how un-friendly some of the comments were. Wasp bites are very painful and can be dangerous.
I, for one, hope that you are OK.

Hair spray! works great for any flying buzzing biting stinging bug that you cannot reach. Give the bug a good spraying, and it falls right to the ground. Then, after all the fussing, you still have a little left over for your hairdoo!... No need to "look" like you've got a bee in your bonnet! seriously tho, it works.

Stuffed olives keeps wasps away? Okay this is one wacky idea I can get behind. From now on I will have two classic vodka martinis with double olives on my balcony every evening to keep wasps away.

Just of to Home Depot and get the spray. It shoots up to 25' BUT only spray it at sunset when they sleep. It will kill the nest.. Leave the Olives, Garlic etc. for a nice salad while eating outside and enjoying the sunset without getting stung..

It works better than Pepper Spray if you need to spray anyone. Keep a can handy.

Larry

I used to extoll the virtues of wasp spray instead of pepper or bear spray for protection. It's cheaper, sprays farther, and is a directed stream. Wasp spray causes permanent damage, so it's use is much like that of a gun with legal consequences. Of course there are those situations where the legal consequences are not an issue.
