I'm noticing a lot more stones on the beach than I'm used to seeing when I'm there in the winter. Is this usual? Are they swept away by the sea again later in the season, or are they somehow gathered up by the village?

The wave pattern changes with the seasons and brings stones up or washes the sand seaward in summer. With the hiring of a front loader stones are removed seaward and a certain amount of wave action, sand washed back up onto the beach, the beach assumes a "winter" sandy character. by about the end Nov to mid Dec.

'Paradise' has its flip-side which is duly represented during the summer months - relentless heat and humidity, bugs galore, torn up roads, fighting off ennui, sleepless nights, leaky roofs and so on. Yet even this time has its flip-side with its special charm that one learns to appreciate- the tranquility, the laid-back atmosphere, the feeling of Oneness in the community, dramatic thunderstorms and most importantly, learning not to be guilty about doing nothing!!!

"learning not to be guilty about doing nothing" sooo true, it takes
time to learn.

"The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

To wake up in the morning with nothing to do and by the end of the day
only have half of it done.
