Tejon

Is anyone -- or do you know anyone who is -- missing a large brown tejon. It's hanging out at my house, and I'd be happy to give it back.

Good try, Jane, and great photo! You're living in its habitat. And it is kind enough to tolerate your presence.

If I'm living in its habitat, why did I see it just yesterday for the first time in the eight years I've been in this house? It's not particularly skittish or timid, which is what led me to believe that it is, or has been, someone's pet.

Maybe Rocio (the vet) lost her pet tejon?

It will move on if it's someone's pet, usually back to the owner. Scorpions are more to be concerned about.

Barry, Barry, Barry...so insensitive! As everyone one knows, the proper way to eat Tejones is to stir fry them.
