I have very sad news to report to the many friends of Glen Vannoy. He passed away July 16,2014. As
many of those of you that knew him were aware that he battled heart disease for many years and last Wednesday it gave up.
I feel fortunate to have to have been with him for the past 5 years. I will miss his great sense of humor and many talents and his being my bridge partner . Hopefully this next season we can have a La Manzanilla send off by spreading some of his ashes in our beautiful bay. Betty Humber

I am deeply sorry for your loss, Betty. Thank you for making Glen so very happy over the past five years. He was a dear friend with whom I spent many hours down at Kjell's patio table listening to the boys reminisce and swap sea stories. No doubt the two of them have resumed their favorite past time on the other side of the sunset. Please share my condolences with the rest of Glen's family.

We will miss him .
I will miss his humour , bridge bids ,laughs we shared .
I will miss waving up to the balcony daily and seeing his smile in the morning from the beach.
I will miss his latest scoop on the movies.

Dear Betty,
I was so sorry to read today that Glen is gone. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. He was keenly aware that "time waits for no man," and lived his life aware of how fleeting it can be. He savored every moment and didn't waste any. I'm sure that these last few years were some of the best for him. I'm glad you were there to share those times with him.

Doris and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Glenn. We will miss his humor, his smile, his knowledge and his stories of running a lock-up for cars, trucks and planes invo214lved in legal cases. It made the trip to and from Manzanillo pass in a trice. The world is a little smaller today.

Betty, You know how much Glen meant to me. I will miss his dimples which were always there because he always smiled. I surely will miss getting to put my fingers in his beautiful curls.
Most of all the friendship he gave to me and sharing his time which was always special.

I send my heartfelt condolences to you. I remember with fondness playing bridge at Glen's house up from the school and being his partner for bridge and pool time at Sophia and Bohdan's house. Glen's passing reminds us that every day that we get to play bridge is a gift and I will think of him each time I am playing and especially if I get to bid a slam in his honour  .
