Robin Williams

I've been around for almost 65 years, and found Robin Williams to be one of the most creative, original performers of my time. I was greatly saddened this morning when I heard of his death, presumably resulting from an overwhelming depression.

Steve Martin, another fabulous creator, wrote that he suffered (of suffers) from depression. It is widely speculated that Jackie Gleason, Charlie Chaplin and Jonathan Winters were also afflicted with that condition.

It makes one wonder why such minds of magic and genius are so challenged.

(BTW, I'm feeling a little blue myself).

RIP, Robin.
