A welcome rainstorm

Last night around 11 pm we got an exciting wind/rain/lightning storm that brought us 0.74" / 19mm in less than an hour. It cooled us down just in time for a brief power outage (no fans!)

It's still cool and cloudy right now. Another red blob is heading up the coastline our way this morning. Just now arriving in Manzanillo. I think there is a good chance it will make it to us, possibly with some more heavy thunderstorm action. Maybe in a couple hours we will see....

The Weather Underground has a "WunderMap" that shows more detailed IR satellite imagery, with a good map background so it's easier to tell where La Manz is located. This "enhanced Blob Cam" is a little trickier to get configured though:
