Web Cam

3 Cheers for D for the web cam. When I look at it I have two thoughts..... this is really cool, it's like I am standing in the D's office looking out and then the next thought is......... this is like watching an old time silent film.

When silent films came out folks flocked to it, now those of us who love LM, flock to the Web Cam.

Good job D.

Thanks Tim and Debra (from other post).

I like this level of cam, its not too detailed (privacy), its back off the
beach so you get some tree action (shows the wind) but one also gives the idea of
what is happening here. It is like the silent film days, something I would
like to change. When the new location for the new cam shows up (very soon) it
will have the sound of the ocean, it is a big part of the peace I hope to convey.

That is one of the reasons for the "upgrade", to have the view be available on
iPad's and mobile devices. I hope it happens.

Daniel,

For those of us in the Great (and sometimes too) White (and cold) North -- any chance of having a temperature read out on the Peace Cam?

Jim

Do you really want to know? I pretend that it is horizontal blowing rain and hypothermia is the result of exposing yourself on the beach this time of year.

I have seen cams with that option (and many others). It helps to keep
in mind that I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I'm spoiled and
a bit lazy. I was once on a movie set where the director made a comment to one
of the grips about how fast he was working. The grips response was "I only
have two speeds, if you don't like this one you will hate the next one".
Once I get this mouthfull chewed I will most likely take another bite.

It's good to have achievable goals.

Gracias, Fred Bailey
